About Me – Anna John
Finding a content writer expert who understands both the heart of a story and the logic of marketing is rare. I’m a 24-year-old creative, calm, and enthusiastic professional dedicated to bridging that gap. My passion for the written word didn’t happen overnight. It evolved over eight years of intensive personal and academic writing, shaping both my skills and perspective.
I was born and raised in the suburban hill areas of the Kannur district, which is considered one of the fastest-developing cities in Kerala. Growing up in this environment helped me develop a keen sense of observation and emotional understanding.
How Writing Became a Part of Me
Being the youngest in my family, I was privileged to follow my passion as my core focus. However, the field of writing is challenging, and I have faced many obstacles along the way. Writer’s block has been one of the main challenges at times. This is not only just my struggle, it is something every individual who is truly passionate about writing experiences.
I strongly believe that writing is not only a combination of words but also a combination of the emotions one goes through. As a content writer, I understand that professionalism is more important than being overly emotional. However, emotion remains the key to great writing, and I am confident in my ability to balance both.
Educational Background
Postgraduate Degree – MA English Language and Literature
I also hold a postgraduate degree in MA English Language and Literature from the prestigious Sacred Heart College. As a postgraduate student, I worked on research projects and dissertations on different topics. These experiences were eye-opening and helped me develop multiple perspectives.
Undergraduate Degree – BA Communicative English, Political Science & Economics
I earned my undergraduate degree in BA Communicative English, Political Science, and Economics from St. Joseph’s College in Bangalore. This phase marked a significant turning point in my writing journey.
During my undergraduate years, I worked on diverse writing tasks based on different prompts, sometimes focusing on simple, everyday objects and at other times on specific products or themes. As part of our academic projects, we were also required to interview strangers, which helped me build confidence in public interactions. These experiences strengthened my communication skills, improved my clarity of expression, and gave me a deeper understanding of myself where not only as a writer, but also as an individual.
Through literature, I learned how emotions, voice, tone, and rhythm play an important role not only in writing but also in life.
What I Bring as a Content Writer
To strengthen my content writing career, I joined Haris and Co Academy to gain a better understanding of marketing as a key strategy. This learning journey is ongoing, and the knowledge I gain every day is extremely valuable.
Standing out in a creative field like content writing requires an optimistic mindset, consistency, and confidence. I truly believe I am good at what I do, and I continue to grow with every project I take on.
